Oliver Clark
Founder
Oliver is a former British Army officer with over a decade of experience spanning logistics, crisis response, intelligence and defence diplomacy. Having served in Japan in several key liaison and diplomatic roles, he brings a rare combination of UK defence expertise, Japanese language fluency and first-hand understanding of the Japanese market.
When Oliver previously served as a military attaché in Tokyo, he played a pivotal role in strengthening UK–Japan defence cooperation, including helping establish the first bilateral UK–Japan land exercise in Japan. He subsequently served for three years as a UK liaison officer to Japan’s Ministry of Defense, contributing to the development of strategic relationships between the two countries.
Oliver was also the first British officer to attend the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) Command and Staff Course, reflecting his longstanding commitment to building mutual understanding between the UK and Japan.
As a founder, Oliver combines his experience of UK defence and security with his understanding of Japan to help UK businesses navigate the Japanese market, build trusted relationships and develop meaningful partnerships.
